Two Holiday Villas with Swimming Pool in Borgo "La Casa" in Tuscany
La Casa is an old farmhouse in Tuscany with two annexes: a cow stable and a pig stable. The main house was built over 250 years ago. We have bought La Casa in 2003.
After a 3-year restoration process, which started in 2008, La Casa has been converted into a borgo with the main house now used by us as our second home. The two annexes have been rebuild as luxury holiday homes: Casa Gigilio (6 people) and Casa Girasole (4 people). Borgo La Casa also includes a heated swimming pool of 6 x 14 meters. The two guesthouses can be booked - both seperately and combined - as a luxury holiday villa.
Borgo La Casa is located on a hill side at the Arno river near Bibbiena in the Casentino valley. The borgo offers a spectacular view on the valley and the castle in Poppi, "Castello dei Conti Guidi", as a landmark.
The Casentino valley is located in the eastern part of Tuscany, between Florence and Arezzo. The land of La Casa is located next to National Park Casentino, one of the largest national parks of Italy. With a little bit of luck you can see (late in the evening and early in the morning) the deer and boars in the field. The airport of Florence can be reached by car in about an hour and a half. Arezzo is a 45 minutes drive by car.
The current borgo is surrounded by 4 very spacious building plots, each with the capacity to build a beautiful country house in the traditional Tuscany style. With this, Borgo La Casa has the potential to develop into one of the most attractive locations in the Casentino valley: a small-scale borgo, located on a hill side, with a spectacular view on the valley and surrounded by the beauty of the National Park Casentino.

The May/June edition of 2012 of the Dutch magazine "De Smaak van Italië" (The Taste of Italy) includes an article about Borgo "La Casa".
The article gives a good impression of the passion and love we have dedicated to the restoration of the old farmhouse "La Casa" as well as a number of tips for fine restaurants and places to visit in the Casentino valley.
